My first time.

Hello,

OK, so now I am just another blogger.  This is my first time, so be easy in your critique of my blogging style.

I am slowly and grudgingly moving into the 21st century.  Thanks to my beautiful wife's gentle coaxing, I will attempt to keep up with the times.  My next foray into the technological age will be sending out an e-vite.

Next week I will be finishing up my humanities requirement that was in the form of a jazz appreciation class.  It has been interesting going back to school at the age of 40.  Although I am not the only one in my class with grey hair, and no the instructor is not the other Q-tip in the class.  As far as I know all the other students are under the age of 20 and fresh out of high school. While I feel old among my classmates, I feel young by being around this great group of young adults.

Our sailboat Zeitgeist is back in the water.  Man, I can't wait to spend some quality time on her with the crew tearing up Lake Michigan.  A great new adventure for me is going to be Double Handing the boat in the Queens Cup with my wife.  An experienced sailor in her own right, it will be our first overnight race together.  I am also looking forward to the races with my crew in the Chicago NOODS, the Chicago to Mackinaw Island race, the VERVE Cup and the J-109 North American's in Chicago this August.

Keep it real or don't keep it.
